Pinkind is a Social Enterprise Launderette, operating in the London Borough of Hounslow, as a Not for Profit, with a social purpose and constitution.

Social Purpose: To help local people living in the London Borough of Hounslow with limited financial means, who perhaps cannot afford a washing machine at home, or who do not have access to one. It gives them an opportunity to wash their clothes and belongings at an affordable price, locally. It also helps reduce the risk of spreading or catching COVID-19 since it is shown that regular washing of clothes and bed linen helps stop the spread of this infectious disease.

We also have an environmental purpose – to offer a greener solution to washing clothes through using larger, more energy-efficient washing machines and driers than domestic appliances.

We are also an unofficial “social hub”, with a free seating area, for local people, to informally meet in a warm, dry, indoor place, while they wash their clothes, helping alleviate loneliness and isolation.

We welcome refugees from Ukraine who live locally in Hounslow.
